Catapult Building
Our most recent project in physics, was the construction of a catapult. This project was not what I expected to be, it was hard but at the same time it was a lot of fun and it helped me to better understand projectile motions. When building the catapult, you have to take in the fact of angles and how having a smaller angle helps launch your catapult at a longer distance. Another key factor in building a catapult is the acceleration, the acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s^2 so it is important to have a greater acceleration than gravity. Now that I look back at the catapult that we have built, I know that we could have made changes that would have improved our distance greatly. One of them would be the angle at which we placed our catapult at, it was way to high and the ideal angle is 45. If I was to redo this project that is one of the changes that I would make to the catapult.
