funny joke and paragraph

(0 reviews)

What did the physicist snack on during lunch?

A 'gram' cracker.

I thought this was a really funny joke...I really like jokes. But I like physics even more. In physics I learned that a gram is a metric unit of mass equal to 0.001 kilograms, the basic unit of mass in the metric system.

A gram can be abbreviated as a g...make sure you don't get this confused with g as in the gravitational force of acceleration on earth. this is 9.81 m/s^2. Make sure you don't forget your units!! We use g in free fall problems. Free fall is when an object is dropped. For example, I am holding a ball and I drop it. The acceleration for this ball is 9.81 or g.
