  1. I can't wait to build catapults too! We're so happy to have you in physics this year - it will be a great introduction to some of the classes you will take to become a veterinarian and also relates to lacrosse, soccer, and photography (and much more)!
  2. If you're excited about reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy I'm pretty sure you will enjoy this class! We're excited to have you and good luck with everything you're doing this year!
  3. Sounds like you'll love this class! Can't wait to work with you!
  4. Baillie, I think it's great that you have such high expectations for yourself! You will find that physics relates directly to your daily life and learn so much from this class - you can even study the physics of airplanes and how they help you travel all over the world!
  5. Deciding to take a lot of science will definitely look great on your college applications and give you a good background for some of the classes you will be taking later!
  6. Four years of science does look great on a college application and physics is fun so I'm glad you signed up for the class! I danced all through college and there is a lot of physics behind the graceful movements that I think you would find very interesting!
  7. All of the activities you listed involve physics in some way and we will definitely answer those questions! We're glad you decided to take physics this year!
  8. It makes sense to try out all of the sciences before picking a favorite - hopefully you'll love physics! You'll definitely see how it relates to everyday activities in your life like playing tennis and skiing!
  9. Congrats on your Eagle award! Not only will that look great on college applications, it seems like you have already realized how positively it can affect so many aspects of your life which I've seen in multiple Eagle Scouts that I know. I think you'll enjoy physics this year because you will have plenty of opportunities for group work and to relate physics to things you enjoy, like soccer!
  10. You will learn so much about the nature of the universe in physics so I'm glad you're excited for that! We will also learn about how physics relates to sound and music which I'm sure you will love!
  11. Taking physics and AP Bio will definitely look great on your college applications! I took both of those at the same time in high school too to try them out. They will definitely give you a nice background for the science classes that you will take as an Immunology major later on. I also think that you'll see very quickly how the physics that we're learning in class can relate to hockey (and also soccer and video games!)
