  1. A video combining the amazing lectures, clips and television shows of some of the most famous celebrities and scientists on the planet. Combine it with music and you get the best thing ever. http://vimeo.com/29466108
  2. Astrophysicist Dr. Neil Degrasse Tyson was asked by a reader of TIME magazine, "what is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the universe?" This was his answer, coupled with beautiful visuals and music. http://vimeo.com/57731445
  3. For about two years I have been subscribed to the youtube channel MinutePhysics. This video is a combination of this channels 3 best videos. Schrodinger's Cat is the idea that the act of observation forces the universe to collapse into one reality, while also creating another reality inside of a greater multiverse. The Theory of Everything is describing the surprisingly simple equation that describes almost everything in the universe (excluding gravity, neutrino oscillation, and dark matter). Finally the sound of hydrogen section is so cool that I don't even want to describe it, just watch the video. http://vimeo.com/37157024/
  4. So, I found this video online explaining how the orbital weapon "Odin" in Call of Duty: Ghosts is a very real threat through calculating the weapons kinetic energy being transferred into the earth on impact. This video also includes an example of an actual weapon that is currently being built that uses the same concept, except this real world version is code named "Thor". Coincidence? I think not.
  5. When I habng out with my firends, I like to make short films. The process is rather easy, but to make them look believeable and funny you need to use a decent bit of physics. In my one short film entitled "Wolfy Wipeout", my friend Peter had to repeat the same motion over 10 times to get it perfect with him in his costume. The action he was trying to pull off was a believeable reaction to being punched and then falling to the ground. Most of the time I used to much power in the hit and the mask swung around his head, while other times, when my friend, Peter, fell to the floor he just colapsed or got his tail caught under his foot. It is rather difficult the actual actions people would make in a realistic situation.
  6. The MereBear will have to deal with it.
  7. Ciao Paolo, come stai oggi? Io sto molto bene.
  8. My name is Christopher Hecht and I am a student in Mr. Fullertons Regents Physics class. I am currently sitting in my Criminal Justice class at the Foreman Center because for some reason my computer wouldnt show the video responses for the homework. I like to hang out with friends and listen to a variety of music and just talk. I like playing video games and play them a lot. Currently, I am employed at the new Webster McDonalds near the Target plaza, next to Walgreens. I Chose to take regents physics because when compared to chemistry, it looks a lot more fun. Not only that, when looking at one of the majors i want to take in college, computer science, physics just seems a more useful thing to know. I hope we get to learn a little about astro physics because that section of the subject really interests me, and have already watched several ted talks on the matter. I am looking forward to the class and hope i have a good final year of High School.
