  1. Physics is used in many movies! Movies are something that I constantly watch in my life. A movie that is one of my favorites is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! Physics is constantly used in this movie when Augustus the fat German kid starts to drink the chocolate fountain and then gets sucked in the chocolate machine. If you watch the rest of the video you can see the physics in the movie!

    Light's Out

the power going out, that stinks! Well wait to connect physics and weather!!!!
  3. great video!! Volleyball has lots to do with physics
  4. aww no photo, but ive seen her before!! What a nugget:)
  5. My favorite Physicists is the man that everyone knows! Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Württemberg in the German Empire on March 14th, 1879. His parents were Hermann Einstein, a salesman and engineer, and Pauline Koch. In 1880, the family moved to Munich, where his father and his uncle founded Elektrotechnische Fabrik J. Einstein & Cie, a company that manufactured electrical equipment based on direct current. As you can see, science was already used in the Einstein family. Throughout his life, Einstein published hundreds of books and articles. Just like Mr. Fullerton!!! Anyways, In a 1905 paper, Einstein postulated that light itself consists of localized particles. Einstein's light quanta were nearly universally rejected by all physicists, including Max Planck and Niels Bohr. This idea only became universally accepted in 1919, with Robert Millikan's detailed experiments on the photoelectric effect, and with the measurement of Compton scattering. This is a few things about Einsten and Thanks for viewing!
  6. I've always had a love for animals since I was a little girl. I just came along this video when I was searching on youtube and discovered that OFCOURSE, Physics related!!! As you watch the video you can see how they use sound waves to detect the un known creature from the waters. More than 3,000 miles away, scientist discovered this creature. Watch the video to learn more about this thing bigger than a blue whale! Thanks for viewing:)
  7. This past spring break, I went to Italy with my Italian class. We had no other way of getting to Italy then to use physics. We actually used physics throughout the trip! We had a long 8 hour plane ride from Chicago to Germany and this contributed to the science of physics. We took off using inertia and had to use motors and jets to go against gravity so we can fly safe all the way to our 5 hour layover in Germany. As we landed the wings had a way of making the airplane, which if I might add was HUGE, stop and control the SPEED of the aircraft. The class of 32 had a fun 10 day Italy trip and we successfully landed home on Friday, not only because of the pilot of the airplane but because PHYSICS helped us arrive to our destination.
  8. Last week I went onto a college visit to Mercyhurst University. I went to visit the college not only for myself but my brother is a senior there. Mercyhurst is located in Erie Pennsylvania. That is just about 20 minutes away from the Pennsylvania- New York border. In Erie, it is very cold place but it was especially cold that day because they got a little over 2 feet of snow. While my mom and i drove there, we noticed that physics is used in driving a car on a snowy road. We were slipping on the road and i told my mom "Pump the brakes!" She replied with "Wow how did you know that??" I told her that Mr. Fullerton told us that if you pump the brakes it will give more friction on the icy snow then if you just stomp on the brakes because then it will just slide. Physics is used everywhere and definitely in the North during the winter time! This is a picture that i took on our way to Erie, Pennsylvania:

  10. The sectional footabll game is tonight so thats all on my mind right now! Physics is used alot in football and can win the game for the eagles!!! Whent he boys hit eachother, thats forces going aginst eachother. The football is s projectile that accelerates at 9.81 m/s^2 in the air from Sean Mannion, our Quarterback, to Dylan Harrington, our wide reciever. As many people know im a cheerleader and i cant wait to watch the game tonight! LETS GO EAGLES!!!!
  11. Lacrosse is a fun way of learning Physics! I have been playing since I was in 2nd grade and now I am just learning that Physics is all over the lacrosse field! The way you pass, shoot and score and the way you run up and down the field are all ways that Physics is used in the game of Lacrosse! Watch this really cool video of how lacrosse and physics are combined!
  12. That's sweet!! I hope to see you do that in basketball this season!!!
  13. For the past month we were assigned a project that was the catapults that we launched last Thursday in class. My partners were Jessica and Miranda and our catapult was pretty cool! Not only did we work hard on it, but we tested it at Jessica's house and it went far and thought that no doubt ours would go really far. We got a average distance of 5 meters and that was disappointing for the team. But that doesn't mean that we didn't try our best. This also means that we did physics because it went a distances, at least! Physics is used everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. cool tanner... david beckham is really good and hot!! Maybe ill take some tips of physics from him:)
  15. Wow!!! Physics is dangerous but cool!!!
  16. Your family sounds super cool! Maybe you can teach me how to sail and learn more physics together:)
  17. I like skiiing too! maybe we can go skiing together sometime and notice physics together while having fun!!!
  18. Cheerleading is a big part of my life and has been ever since I was born. Not only do you have to do fun cheers that get the crowd excited but also have to compete in competitions all around, against other teams. In the competition setting of cheerleading, there are many aspects of physics that are used in the SPORT. Such things are, jumping, tumbling, stunts and even the clap of your hands while doing your cheers. Tumbling is a big part of competitive cheerleading. I, myself, am a tumbler that can do a backhand spring but our level on our team can go up to a layout... which you can see in the video below... The impact on the floor with my hands in the backhand spring show that physics is used. When I start to go back... my hands are straight but as I impact my hands on the floor, I have to bend my arms so there is no breaking of any arms. As I continue to stand up from the backhand spring, my arms extend to the full extent so it can make me stand with more agility and force. As you can see, cheerleading is a big part of my life... oh wait.. physics is a big part of cheerleading.. So technically Physics is a big part of MY LIFE!
  19. I make Science copper-tellurium (cu-te) 😋🔬📚 #TISelfieContest
  20. Mostly to Mr. Fullerton: Can i put all my notes together when i hand in my homework tomorrow? If they are all on the same pages is that okay?
  21. Wow Annie!! you have a lot of siblings! hope you have a great junior year!
  22. wait do these pictures randomly show up??
  23. HAHAHA That dog is cute but Miranda you seem so interesting! what position do you play in lacrosse??
  24. I love tacos too.. especially taco bell! but thats crazy your fish is really old!
