Obtaining AP Exam Results

To ensure that students are prepared to access their scores, they must follow the steps outlined below. We ask that you help your students get ready, particularly those who have never taken an AP Exam before.

Please share these important steps with your students:

  * At exam time or during a preadministration session,
fill in AP answer sheets carefully and consistently.
Especially important are name, date of birth, sex,
    mailing address, and email address.

  * As early as possible, sign up for a College Board
account at apscore.org. Students must have an account
    to access their scores.

       – Some students may already have an account.
Have them confirm this by signing in.

  * Remember the following information, which will be required to see their scores in July:

       – College Board account username and password

       – 2014 AP number (or student ID number if they
provided it on their AP answer sheet)

Score Release Schedule

The score release schedule will be available at apscore.org in early May, and students will receive an email in early July at the email address they put on their AP answer sheet reminding them when they can access their scores.

Science / Tech Competition

On March 15, 2014, the Central Western Section of the Science Teachers Association of NYS will sponsor the thirty seventh annual Science Congress at St. John Fisher College. Students (grades 6-12) from the region represented by Central Western Section present their research projects to scientists and educators who judge their understanding, research methods, and ability to communicate. Many student projects are recognized with awards, such as Honorable Mention, Honors, High Honors, and Highest Honors. In addition, special awards are presented by organizations for exceptional work in particular subjects. The highest reward is to be chosen to present at the STANYS State Science Congress or at the prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) if funding is available. Some participants may be eligible to participate in a special middle school program entitled Broadcom MASTERS (a competition in Math, Applied Science, Technology and Energy for Rising Stars). It is a joint effort of Broadcom and the Society for Science and the Public (SSP). The ISEF and Broadcom MASTERS opportunities offer our students horizon broadening experiences at the national level. It is only through the support of area businesses, local professional organizations, St. John Fisher College, the military, scientists, teachers, and other individuals, that Central Western Section is able to hold a Science Congress and to make these unique opportunities possible.
