Regents Physics

To log in to School Island, go to http://www.castlelearning.com/ or click the “Castle Learning” physics link on the right side of this page.

Your ID is: wi-123456 (where 123456 is YOUR student ID number).

Hit <Enter> at the password. Once you log in the first time, the system will ask you to set up a password for future log ins.

My expectations for the year are simple yet far-reaching:

1. Come prepared to class each and every day.
2. Give me your best effort each and every day.
3. Be respectful – to yourself, to your classmates, and to the instructor.
4. Conduct yourself in a professional manner.

The following classroom rules should also be observed:

• No cell phones are to be seen or heard during the entire school day. I will answer and/or confiscate any phone if it is operated or rings in my room. This includes text messaging, taking pictures, or using the phone as a calculator.
• No electronic entertainment devices are to be used during class time.
• No pants are to be worn below the waist line. A belt will be provided to you should you choose not to comply.

5. Enthusiasm and a positive attitude

Grading Policy

Homework, labs, and tests are all important to success in this class, therefore, each of these components will be weighted equally. I reserve the right to adjust this grading policy as situations warrant throughout the year.

1.) Enter your data into the Excel database. Place the data you would like represented on the x-axis of your graph in column A, and the data for the y-axis in column B.

2.) Highlight all of your data (hold control to highlight a 2nd column).

3.) Click on the Chart Wizard (colorful 3-D chart at top) button.

4.) Select Scatter Plot with the data points displayed only

5.) Click Next and ensure that your graph appears to look correct.

6.) Click Next.

7.) Enter your chart title and axes labels including units.

8.) Click Next

9.) Place your graph as a new sheet in your spreadsheet. Click next and you have created your graph.
