Relationship of velocity and kinetic energy for an object in free fall

Note that velocity increases linearly (with a slope equal to the acceleration due to gravity, 9.81 m/s^2), yet kinetic energy increases rapidly (with the square of velocity since KE=0.5*m*v^2)
