ack before my mom had her neck surgery, she was a huge horseback rider. We constantly hear stories of her competitions and the multitude of horses that she used to own. She doesn't ride as intensely as she used to, but when she did, she would use so much physics. Her major activity was the jumping because she loved the way it felt. But, in order to be able to reach that maximum height of the hurdle, she had to make sure that the horse was traveling at a fast enough velocity for a good time so that the jump would occur smoothly. Another fun fact about the jump that the horse would make is that even though the horse weighed a tremendous amount, at that maximum height point, it would still stop for a split second.
