Chapter 11, page 213: Light bends toward the normal as it enters a material with a higher index of refraction (slower material), and bends away from the normal as it enters a material with a lower index of refraction (faster material).
Chapter 11, page 215: Typically, the smaller the obstacle and longer the wavelength, the greater the diffraction.
Chapter 12, page 242: The most familiar lepton, the electron, has a charge of -1e. Its anti-particle, the positron, has a charge of +1e.
