  1. This Lab had an extremly high percent of error. This high percent error is caused because of the poor way to measure how high you jump, and the way you have to messure how long the person jumping is in the air. You can fix this by insted of measuring how high you jump with tape, you use the profesional vertical jump measurer that they use in the NFL combine. You can fix the way you time how long your in the air by taping yourself jump on a high speed camra. This shows that there are ways to make this lab alot more accurate.

  2. Physics students in IHS have figured out how to calculate acceleration due to gravity! The young physicists dropped a ball from a set height and they timed how long it took for it to reach the ground. Then later used their kinematic equations to solve for (a) or acceleration. The average time the ball was in the air was .53 seconds, and their hieght they dropped the ball from was 2 meters. Students found gravity to have an acceleration of 14.2m/s^2. They found their percent error to be 44.8% so their data was not completly accurate.

  3. my name is Jay and i am a junior in high school this year. science is one of my favorite subjects and i hope to makor in biological sciences in college. i love ski racing, but it sometimes is a stretch to balence the busy winter schedual with my school work. overall, i hope this year goes well and i learn a lot.

i am entering the feild of physics this year in the regents level. i dont know much about physics going into it but i hear it is a challenging class and a goodway to broaden my horizons. i think physics will give me a chance to look at the world a different way than i have before and i hope i learn a lot of cool things that i can connect to my everyday life.
