The physics behind a washing machine seems very complex!

I wonder how exactly the kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy. I understand that energy is conserved, but it amazes me how mechanical energy can become electrical energy.
Wouldn't the kinetic energy which is converted into electrical energy be the kinetic energy of the spinning blades of the wind turbine, not of the wind itself?

I never thought that there was a principle of physics behind the behavior of Cheerios! I'm excited to learn about fluids to better understand what surface tension of a liquid is.

That's so cool that a TV show like the simpsons would talk about physics accurately!

That's so cool to think of how great of a force a baseball player must apply in order to stop his bat in such a short amount of time. It's also pretty crazy how fast MLB pitchers can throw a baseball, making it even harder for batters to be able to hit, let alone see the ball as it travels towards them.

It's super interesting to think that kinematics can be applied to forensics! I like the very realistic application to something that we've learned in class

Why can top heavy cars not always drift very easily? I've always wondered why people always drift in smaller cars and not bigger mini vans. Will top heavy cars fall over if you try to drift in one of them?

I never thought about the ball hitting the ground or the racket as an inelastic collision. It's cool to think about the game in terms of transfers of energy instead of forces!

The sword seems like an obvious weapon of choice because of its sharp edges and the outward force that it applies. What are the other available weapons?

Does quicksilver move at an incredibly high velocity, or is he able to slow down time? This video makes it seem like he slows down time and moves at a regular pace, but to others, he seems to be traveling very quickly.

When was the Magnus effect discovered, and who discovered it?
The Physics of Hiking

My whole family sails pretty frequently over the summer, but our boat is 30 feet, so we don't need to worry about hiking. It looks challenging!
