Physics of Call of Duty: Ghosts

So, I found this video online explaining how the orbital weapon "Odin" in Call of Duty: Ghosts is a very real threat through calculating the weapons kinetic energy being transferred into the earth on impact. This video also includes an example of an actual weapon that is currently being built that uses the same concept, except this real world version is code named "Thor". Coincidence? I think not.

There's tons of physics in video games, and the industry is hard pressed to find good designers and coders who also have a strong physics background.  Great potential career field!
