Mary_E27 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Hi, I'm Mary. I'm 15, my birthday is on Thanksgiving, and I'm not really a science person. Every year, I do the Musical and it has been that way since i was a little "sevey" if that's how you spell it. I usually do Odyssey of the Mind every year with some of my best friends and we even made our way to the world competition a couple years ago. If someone was to ask me if I read book 6 months ago, I would have laughed in their face. Now, I'm very interested in reading books with movies to be released soon, so I can compare all the differences. Also, it should be known that I'm a bit strange. I am taking physics this year because it looks good for colleges. Also, when I have to start my career, I would like to go into the medical field and that requires scientific knowledge. This year, I would like to know more about the physics of Spider-Man because I had no clue what the guy was talking about at the seminar I went to for science exploration day. Also, making speakers for an iPod sounds pretty cool. Physics has always been a mystery to me and I would like to know more about it. Quote
zach_m Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Marvin, it's true you's a bit strange... Respond to my intro bc I'm a loner and nobody likes me Quote
FizziksGuy Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I love the physics of Spiderman, and we usually even watch a few videos about the physics of Spiderman! A few years ago we even had a student (Paige Zorij) interview the author of "The Physics of Superheroes," Dr. Jim Kakalios. We'll watch some clips of him this year too! http://www.aplusphysics.com/podcasts/PIA/PIA_Ep002_Kakalios1.m4v http://www.aplusphysics.com/podcasts/PIA/PIA_Ep003_Kakalios2.m4v http://www.aplusphysics.com/podcasts/PIA/PIA_Ep004_Kakalios3.mp3 Quote
